Learning from the growing number of students and partners engaged each year, the report emphasizes 4 key lessons in creating an impactful summer learning model. As other cities adopt the summer learning model and Boston Beyond serves more students each year, these lessons are a step toward the goal of summer learning for all.
This Boston Beyond report details the performance of 145 programs serving 12,522 students over summer 2018, an all-time high. Data collected from students and program staff from the 71 organizations involved in the 5th Quarter of Learning shows growth in key areas including attendance, reflection, and skills linked to college and career readiness.
